Hello, we do not know which template do you mean exactly. Probably it is Directory or Business Finder. Both are very suitable to build any similar directory portals. Regarding ads - please check our documentation: http://www.ait-themes.com/doc/how-to-add-advertise... and of course you can decrease the sizes of the google maps height and width. No problem as you need more spaces for ads.
