Instead of category icons, is it possible to have thumbnails + excerpts on your Directory theme's homepage?

We would like to use your directory theme but would like to have some featured posts shown instead of the category icons on the homepage. Is it possible?

Hi, it's possible, but it takes a lot of customization and time as well. So you have to do it by yourself..
